District 9685

·         Create an inclusive  District and Club culture that is based on Rotary’s core values and adopts the District role to support and strengthen clubs, help clubs increase humanitarian service and enhance Rotary’s public image and awareness. A culture that encourages Rotarians to discover and share the exciting world of Rotary beyond the Club.

·         Invite all Rotarians to participate and contribute to the District Statement of Purpose

·         Undertake a District Launch in each LGA – Meet the Mayor

·         Graphic Design Competition, 1000 Photographs, Clubs across the District get-together and planting 2500 Trees.

Promote Membership Growth

·         Implement our Regional Membership Plan

·         Promote new clubs if appropriate based on innovative and flexible organisation.

·         Encourage Clubs to examine and adopt club organisational practices that are most suitable to the Club’s needs.

·         Encourage membership diversity in clubs with a focus on increased cultural diversity, membership of women and Gen X.

·         Build vibrant clubs to make clubs attractive to potential members and lock the back-gate to existing Rotarians.

·         Promote the Rotary Leadership Institute and invite Rotarians to New Member Forums.

·         Target: by June 2014 have a District membership of 2300.

·         Promote the 2014 Sydney International Convention

Enhance Humanitarian Service through Our Foundation

·         All clubs participate in TRF Club Qualification process to enable to receive TRF grants.

·         Clubs to complete Club Qualification MOU.

·         Encourage clubs to increase funding support to TRF especially through Every Rotarian Every Year.

·         Support clubs with grant applications

·         Increase the number of clubs seeking TRF grants.

·         Encourage Clubs to consider the District Assisted Projects in developing a balanced program.

Strengthen Our Network through the Family of Rotary

·         Support clubs and Rotarians in the use of social media

·         Develop family friendly clubs

·         Support clubs to develop relationships with TRF Alumni, all New Generation programs, PROBUS and Friends of Rotary.

·         Develop strategic non-Rotarian partners such as Workskills, State Training Awards and SES.

·         Promote membership of Rotary Fellowship and Rotary Action Groups

·         Promote Rotary Showcase and Rotary Australia World Community Service to identify potential project partners.

·         Undertake multi District activities with District 9675.
