Many Community Service projects initiated by Clubs fall under the heading Community Support. There are some activities, however, that work more effectively if coordinated through District. District 9685 has documented processes for disaster responses. At required times, the  District 9685  Community Service Chairman, with the approval of the District Governor, will call a Stand Up Committee of motivated and suitably qualified people who will coordinate the response of Rotary Clubs  to meet the needs of communities affected by specific disasters.
