RYPEN is an intensive residential weekend for students in yr 9-10 to develop increased motivation, improved life skills, better self-image, pride in themselves and an understanding of setting and achieving goals.
All this in an informal atmosphere, where questions and debates are encouraged.

MUNA invites high school teams to participate in debates per the principles adopted at the United Nations Assembly, pertinent to world political and social issues.
Conduct research on resolutions and countries, gain an understanding of the complexity of international affairs, and learn about teamwork, diplomatic manoeuvring, and negotiation.

Rotaract (Rotary in Action) is a Rotary-partnered service club for young people aged 18 to 30ish in grass-roots communities and universities.
Rotaract is a global organisation that empowers students and young professionals to create positive and lasting change in themselves, their local community, and the world.

The Science Experience is a fun 1-3 days of science activities for yr 9 & 10 students, to provide an opportunity to engage in fascinating activities with scientists who love their work.
Perform experiments in the laboratories, meet senior lecturers and attend site visits. Learn about the careers open to students pursuing interests and abilities in the sciences.

The Science and Engineering Challenge is a nationwide STEM outreach program presented by the University of Newcastle in partnership with communities, Rotary clubs, universities and sponsors.
The challenge gives students from all backgrounds a chance to get involved and see themselves in an exciting career, playing a key role in inspiring future generations to pursue Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics careers.

Rotary Youth Exchange provides a unique opportunity to experience first-hand the many cultures of a different country and a new way of life.
For a truly amazing, life-changing experience, there is nothing like the long-term exchange. Students spend a year in another country between years 9-10 or 10-11, becoming fluent in a new language and immersed in the culture, and developing friendships that will last a lifetime.

The Rotary Foundation Global Grant Scholarship program is to support international study at post graduate level. Applications are invited from candidates who work or live within District 9685.
The scholarship is awarded through a globally competitive process. Global grants are for graduate students studying abroad in one of Rotaryβs areas of focus. Scholarships last from one to four years and can include an entire degree program.
