The first club in the South Pacific Region was the Probus Club of Paraparaumu (later renamed to Kapiti Coast) New Zealand, sponsored by the Rotary Club of Paraparaumu in 1974 followed by the Probus Club of Hunters Hill in 1976 sponsored by the Rotary Club of Hunters Hill.
Probus in Australia will be celebrating 40 years in 2016.
Probus is the social club of choice with more than 150,000 members enjoying fun, friendship and fellowship in retirement.
